Wall Street Edges Higher Amid Oil Price Drop
Stocks on Wall Street edged higher on Friday, despite heavy fighting in the Middle East that threatens to disrupt oil supplies. The S&P 500 index rose by a modest 0.1%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 62 points.
The Nasdaq composite, however, slipped 0.1% and remains on track to finish the week lower. Meanwhile, Brent crude oil prices fell for the first time in a week, dropping 2.6% from their peak of $102 per barrel.
