Wall Street Stocks Drift on Mideast Tensions Easing
Stocks on Wall Street experienced a mixed close on Monday as oil prices fell after a pause in the US-Iran conflict. The S&P 500 rose less than 0.1% after spending much of the day bouncing between small gains and losses.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.5%, while the Nasdaq composite fell 0.2% for its fourth straight loss.
Oil prices dropped significantly, with Brent crude falling 6.3% to $85.87 a barrel for October delivery, and US crude oil for September delivery falling 7.5% to $82.61 a barrel.
