War Disruptions Spark Wheat Price Dip in Euronext Markets
Euronext wheat prices dropped on Friday after reaching a four-week high. Traders took profits and monitored the impact of war-related disruptions to Black Sea grain shipments.
The December wheat contract on Euronext declined by 1.1% to €238.25 per metric ton, its lowest level since Thursday's peak at €242 per ton, which was also a four-week high.
September futures fell even more sharply, dropping 1.7% to €223.50 per ton, as market participants continued to exit the soon-to-expire contract.
