War Disrupts Wheat Exports as Prices Rise

Wheat prices have been rising as the war between Russia and Ukraine puts exports from two of the world's biggest grain suppliers under growing pressure.

The harvest is temporarily boosting supply, but attacks on ports, storage facilities, shipping routes, and vessels are raising concerns about future availability.

Prices on the Paris futures market have ranged from €223.25 for the September contract to €227.50 between August 18 and 25, while the Chicago futures market closed at $6.85 per bushel on Tuesday.
