Warsh's Inflation Comments Spark Gold Price Bump

Gold prices rose slightly on Thursday after U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh's comments on tackling inflation at the central bank's latest policy meeting.

The Fed left interest rates unchanged, and gold prices have been volatile in recent sessions.

Spot gold was up 0.3% at $4,076.29 per ounce as of 0245 GMT after rising as much as 2% on Wednesday.

U.S. gold futures for August delivery gained 1% to $4,073.60.
