WCE Hits High-Grade Silver at Western Australia Project
West Coast Silver (ASX: WCE) has released further high-grade silver results from its infill drill program at its project in Western Australia. The company's project previously produced 1.2M ounces of silver at an average grade of ~2,194g/t from just 16,830 tonnes of ore before mining stopped in 2000 due to the low silver price.
Today's drill results confirm the presence of high-grade mineralisation within the existing resource area, with a notable hit of 38.3m at 878g/t silver from just 3.7m downhole, including a half-metre slice at 64,745g/t silver. These shallow hits are higher grade than earlier drilling in the same area.
Infill drilling is aimed at increasing confidence in the resource and reducing risks for potential financiers. The company is working towards an updated JORC resource estimate due in Q4 2026, which will inform a Scoping Study on a near-term production opportunity.
