Weaker Dollar Boosts Gold as Trump Announces Iran Talks
Gold prices surged on Monday as the US dollar weakened and oil prices dropped. The move was also attributed to Donald Trump's announcement of new Iran talks, which eased concerns about a potential conflict in the Middle East.
The spot price of gold rose by 0.7% to $4,068.54 per ounce, while US gold futures increased by 0.9% to $4,066.60.
Despite these gains, investors remain cautious as they await key economic data from the US that could impact interest rates and central bank decisions, which may negatively affect gold prices.
