Weaker Dollar Supports Platinum Recovery
Platinum has rebounded to around $1,770 due in part to a weaker U.S. dollar and lower expectations for another Federal Reserve rate hike.
The short-term outlook remains uncertain as weak industrial and auto demand in China may limit further gains.
To strengthen the bullish case, platinum must break above $1,900 to reach the $2,200 region.
However, its ratios against gold (XAU) and silver (XAG) suggest that platinum may continue to underperform both metals.
