NutriQuest's weekly weaner pig profitability calculations show that the breakeven price for purchased weaners has increased by $2.97 from last week to $14.78.

This estimate is based on industry representative production costs and futures pricing for lean hogs, corn, and soybean meal, using historical basis assumptions to establish approximate profitability and break-even pricing for the current sale or purchase of weaner pigs.

When considering that today's purchased weaners would be sold in February 2027 using April 2027 futures, the breakeven price is $14.78, up $2.97 for the week, and $22.69 below the average cash price for the week of $37.47.
