WES Expands Pipeline Presence Through Solitude Joint Venture
Western Midstream Partners (WES) is strengthening its presence in the natural gas pipeline market through its joint venture, Solitude Pipeline System. The company holds a 7.5% stake in this partnership, which has approved the construction of two new 48-inch pipelines connecting the Permian Basin to Katy, Texas.
The project will initially deliver 2.25 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) by late 2029 and add another 2.25 Bcf/d in 2030, with potential for further expansion. WES has secured firm transportation capacity on these pipelines to enhance service for its Delaware Basin customers and support growing demand, including LNG exports.
The new pipelines are expected to start service in the second half of 2029, pending regulatory approvals.
