West Asia Tensions Spark Gold Price Surge in India
India's gold prices continue to rise as tensions in West Asia escalate. According to Good Returns, the price of 24K gold today stands at Rs 14,460 per gram, an increase of Rs 27 from July 30. Similarly, 22K and 18K gold prices have also risen, with 22K gold priced at Rs 13,255 per gram and 18K gold at Rs 10,845 per gram.
The sharp increase in gold prices comes as Brent crude surged over 6% last Thursday, topping $100 a barrel for the first time since May. This sudden spike follows escalating conflict in West Asia and recent attacks on trade routes, intensifying concerns over global oil supply shortages.
