Western Canada Grain Prices Vary by Region
The Alberta Wheat Commission's subsidiary, PDQ, released grain prices in Western Canada as of September 4, 2026. The data is based on average prices per metric tonne for various grains, including CWRS, CWAD, CPSR, and CDA wheat, as well as canola and peas.
Prices varied across different regions, with the highest price for CWRS in South Alberta at $325.18 per metric tonne. In contrast, the lowest price for CWAD was found in the Peace region at $11.5 per metric tonne.
Producers are advised to check with multiple grain companies for basis levels specific to their area.
