Western Canada Grain Prices Vary by Region and Grain Type
The latest grain prices in Western Canada have been released by PDQ, an information service owned by the Alberta Wheat Commission. As of September 3rd, 2026, the average prices for various grains in different regions are as follows:
CWRS, CWAD, CPSR, and CDA were priced at $13.5, $13.0, $11.5, and $2 YELLOW respectively. Canola was priced at $319.81 in Peace, while peas were not available for that region.
In other regions, the prices varied: North Alberta had canola at $330.83 and peas at $303.60, South Alberta had canola at $332.89 and peas at $303.74, NW Sask had canola at $322.39 and peas at $291.78, SW Sask had canola at $314.99 and peas at $289.68, NE Sask had canola at $314.68 but no price for peas, SE Sask had canola at $307.91 and peas at $279.04.
The prices in Manitoba were also released: West Man had canola at $314.74 and peas at $271.97, East Man had canola at $330.50 with no price for peas. It is recommended that producers check with several grain companies to get the basis levels in their area.
