Western Copper and Gold (TSX:WRN) has seen its stock price surge 7.29% in recent market moves, making it one of the strongest mining stocks highlighted. The company's flagship project is the Casino copper-gold-molybdenum mine in Yukon, Canada, which is considered one of the country's largest undeveloped critical-minerals projects.

Copper prices have reached fresh records at $14,779 per tonne, creating a favorable backdrop for copper developers like Western. The company has submitted its responses to additional information requests from the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB), moving the environmental review process forward.

Western's strategic partner, Mitsubishi Materials, has completed the purchase of 1.2 million Western shares, returning its ownership to approximately 5%. The project's feasibility study outlines a 27-year mine life, with average annual production of approximately 353 million pounds of copper equivalent.
