Western Heat Boosts Natural Gas Prices Amid Intensifying Heat
Natural gas prices strengthened for August delivery on the first day of bidweek trading, led by gains in the West. Forecasts pointed to intensifying heat and new Permian Basin takeaway capacity helped support Waha prices.
The top fixed price reached $4.150, while West Texas baseload more than doubled. The Southeast basis premiums retreated from July levels.
