Wheat Market Posts Mixed Trade Amid Harvest Progress and Shipment Figures
The wheat market posted mixed trade on Monday's session.
Chicago SRW contracts were down by $0.0325 to up by $0.0425 at the close, while KC HRW futures saw a range of changes from being 6 cents lower to up 3.5 cents.
The MPLS spring wheat closed down by a penny to 12.5 cents.
The weekly NASS Crop Progress report showed that 93% of US spring wheat was harvested by Sunday, ahead of the normal pace by 1%. However, the winter wheat crop lagged behind the 5-year average for planting pace, being 4 percentage points lower at 8% complete.
