Wheat Prices Plummet on Black Sea Grain Corridor News
The agricultural market saw some changes on August 31, 2026. Before the opening bell at 9 a.m. CT, December corn was up by less than a penny at $5.37¼ per bushel.
In contrast, November soybeans were down 3¼¢ at $12.84¾ per bushel.
The USDA made an announcement that unknown destinations are buying 159,000 metric tons of soybeans for the 2026/2027 marketing year.
This news had a significant impact on wheat prices, with December CBOT wheat down 20¼¢ at $7.63¾ per bushel and December Kansas City wheat down 23½¢ at $8.20¾ per bushel.
