Wheat Rises Amid Global Supply Concerns
The grain market saw mixed results on Thursday, with wheat continuing its upward trend while corn and soybeans experienced modest gains and losses.
December corn slipped by three cents to $5.33¾ after a sharp rally on Wednesday, as some traders took profits from the recent surge above the five-dollar level.
Soybeans managed a two-cent gain in November to $12.68, while soybean meal added roughly one dollar-and-a-half to two dollars per ton.
Wheat, however, remained strong, with Chicago contracts gaining around 10 to 12 cents and Kansas City hard red winter wheat increasing by over 13 cents to around $8.22.
The ongoing issues with Black Sea grain exports and escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine kept buyers active in the wheat market.
