Wood Lands $200 Million Contract from ExxonMobil PNG for PNG LNG Project
Wood has secured a significant contract from ExxonMobil PNG to provide construction services for several projects in Papua New Guinea. The five-year deal is worth $200 million and will support brownfield projects across the PNG LNG project.
The contract covers work on the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant, the Caution Bay LNG plant, approximately 700 kilometers of pipeline infrastructure, and associated well pads and flowlines. Wood personnel in Papua New Guinea will manage the project and perform various construction tasks.
According to Steve Nicol, Wood's chief operating officer of Operations, 'For more than a decade, we've supported ExxonMobil PNG to deliver safe and reliable PNG LNG Project operations.'
The brownfield work is aimed at maintaining and enhancing critical facilities that underpin the PNG LNG Project's infrastructure. This will support the continued operation and integrity of infrastructure used for natural gas production, processing, and transportation for LNG exports to Asian markets.
