Wressle Oil Site Sees Production Decline Amid Development Plans
The Wressle oil site in North Lincolnshire has seen production drop by 15%, according to interim six-month figures from Europa Oil & Gas.
Gross production averaged 255 barrels of oil per day (bopd) in the first half of 2026, compared with 300 bopd in the same period last year.
The Ashover Grit reservoir is showing natural decline, consistent with its maturity.
Wressle began formal oil production in July 2022 and is currently the fifth-largest UK onshore oil producer.
