WTI Crude Oil Prices Edge Down Amid US-Iran Tensions
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices have declined to near $89.00 despite escalating tensions in the Middle East between the US and Iran.
The situation escalated after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it launched a 'heavy' ballistic missile attack on Prince Hassan airbase and a US Marine base in Jordan, in response to earlier US strikes that killed civilians.
US President Donald Trump warned of more attacks to come if Tehran responded. However, the potential downside for oil prices might be limited due to ongoing tensions in the region, which could raise fears of oil supply disruption.
