WTI Crude Prices Stabilize Amid Diplomatic Hopes and Increased Shipping
The price of WTI crude oil has stabilized around $82.50 after experiencing losses, thanks in part to renewed diplomatic efforts between the US and Iran.
Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has picked up in recent days, with the US Navy successfully escorting several tankers across the waterway, allowing millions of barrels of crude to pass through safely.
The increase in tanker traffic follows a recent slowdown, and comes as Saudi Arabia holds talks with representatives from 43 countries to discuss forming a maritime coalition aimed at safeguarding key shipping routes in the region.
This initiative is in response to a blockade imposed by Iran-backed Houthi militants last week, which threatened commercial trade in the area.
