Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's First LNG Carrier Completes Maiden Voyage
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's first large liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, 'YANGZE LNG 01', has completed its maiden commercial voyage on the Oman, Shenzhen international route. The vessel was built by Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.
The 'YANGZE LNG 01' successfully passed the Port State Control (PSC) inspection with zero deficiencies, demonstrating its superior build quality and suitability for deep-sea operations. This milestone marks a significant achievement in Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's strategic expansion into the large-scale LNG carrier market.
The vessel is classified by Bureau Veritas (BV) and features cutting-edge technologies in shipbuilding. It incorporates a GTT MARK III Flex membrane containment system, dual-fuel MAN 5G70ME-C10.5-GA-EGRBP engines, and meets the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) most stringent emission standards.
