Yemen Conflict Escalates as Houthis Report Over 30 Saudi Strikes

The conflict in Yemen escalated further as Houthi rebels reported over 30 Saudi airstrikes on several regions, including Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz, and Hodeidah. This comes a day after the Houthis launched major attacks on their neighbor, injuring dozens of people.

Saudi authorities previously confirmed that Houthi attacks caused temporary shutdowns at oil sites and injured 73 people early Tuesday.

The Bab el-Mandeb strait has become an increasingly important route for Saudi oil since Iran blockaded the Strait of Hormuz, choking Gulf exports.
