Yemen Demands End to Saudi Blockade for Peace to Prevail
The Supreme Political Council of Yemen has stated that the unconditional end to Saudi Arabia's blockade and aggression is the only path to peace in the region. The council's head, Mashat, emphasized that any dialogue or agreement without an immediate lifting of the siege will be meaningless.
Mashat highlighted the legitimacy of Yemeni armed forces' retaliatory operations against Saudi aggression, citing the fundamental right of self-defense and the just demands of the Yemeni nation. He praised the resistance of the Yemeni people, describing them as strong and resilient in the face of adversity.
The council also dismissed concerns about Yemen's naval blockade on Saudi Arabia, which could impact oil flow to importers of Saudi oil. Mashat emphasized that such protests are worthless and cannot undermine the willpower of the Yemeni people.
