Yemen Expands Siege on Saudi Arabia, Targets Aramco Facilities
The conflict in Yemen has escalated as Sanaa expands its siege of Saudi Arabia. The Yemeni forces have added dozens of new targets to their military objectives, including vital infrastructure in Jizan and Najran provinces.
A source in Al-Akhbar newspaper reported that these attacks are part of a series of operations launched two weeks ago against Saudi oil facilities owned by Aramco in the region. The Yemeni forces have warned that they will continue to isolate Saudi ports in the Red Sea until Riyadh lifts its naval and air blockade of Yemen.
The source also revealed that Sanaa has put all Aramco facilities, including oil tanks and crude oil pipelines, on their target list. They emphasized that this move is a response to Saudi Arabia's refusal to implement Yemen's legitimate demands.
A Yemeni maritime source in Hodeidah reported an increase in international traffic in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, with about 30 ships passing through it daily. However, no Saudi oil or non-oil ships have been allowed to pass through the strait in recent weeks, and monitoring operations against them continue.
