A proxy war is brewing between Yemen and Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea region, with Iran's Houthis at the forefront. The conflict has been ongoing for over a decade, but recent developments suggest an escalation of tensions.

The Houthis have launched airstrikes against Saudi-backed forces in various locations, including Taiz, Al-Dhale'e governorate, and Hays. In one notable incident, a kamikaze drone attack destroyed a base belonging to the Second Al-Zaraniq Brigade in the Dubas area.

The Houthis have also targeted Saudi oil tankers, with a recent missile strike hitting an oil tanker 1,000 kilometers from Yemeni territory. This marks the ninth such attack against Saudi oil tankers in recent months.
