Zelensky Warns Global Food Security Threatened by Russia's Black Sea Blockade

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that global food security is once again at risk due to Russia's aggression in the Black Sea region. Speaking in a video address, Zelensky stated that Russia's blockade of grain exports from Ukraine could lead to increased costs for countries reliant on imports.

Zelensky noted that this situation is not new, citing 2022 as an example when Russia's aggression put food security at risk worldwide. He emphasized the importance of coordinating with international partners to mitigate these effects and protect normal life from Russian actions.

Russia has been accused of deliberately targeting Ukrainian ports and agricultural facilities in a campaign of terror. Zelensky announced plans to meet with the Commander-in-Chief and Defense Minister to discuss countermeasures, including long-range operations and mid-range strikes.
