Zelenskyy Warns of Global Food Security Threat as Black Sea Blockade Continues

The blockade, which is causing problems not only for Ukraine but also for other countries around the world, creates risks for food security and economies everywhere.

Zelenskyy emphasized that prolonging the war would have severe consequences for everyone involved, citing the example of the Black Sea blockade. He compared it to the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway in the Middle East, but instead of oil, this is an agricultural issue. The President said that apart from Ukraine, other countries will be in an even worse situation due to food scarcity.

Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainians would not be left without food and grain prices would fall due to expensive exports. However, logistics and infrastructure for these sales would be complicated, leading to terrible consequences for many people.
