Zimbabwe Sets Prices for Key Crops Ahead of Summer Cropping Season

The Zimbabwean government has approved prices for key crops ahead of the upcoming summer cropping season. The announcement by the Grain Marketing Board (GMB) sets prices for winter wheat, maize, traditional grains, soya bean, and sunflower.

Winter wheat will be priced at US$531.93 per tonne, while maize and traditional grains have been set at US$432 per tonne each. Soya bean is pegged at US$660.95 per tonne, with sunflower having the highest incentive planning price of US$826.19 per tonne.

The prices are intended to provide a guide for farmers and marketers when planning production and marketing activities. The GMB statement said that members of the public requiring clarification on the approved prices could contact its Corporate Communications Department.
