$1 Billion in Mortgage Records Migrated onto Injective Blockchain
Pineapple Financial has made significant strides in its blockchain-based mortgage records migration program. The Toronto-based mortgage lender, listed on NYSE American, has successfully migrated over $1 billion in residential mortgage records onto the Injective blockchain.
The project began in December 2025 with a modest 1,259 records and has grown to 2,079 records by September 2026, representing a nearly 48% increase since launch. Each record on the blockchain contains more than 500 data points, including borrower profiles, loan terms, funding history, and risk indicators.
Pineapple Financial's target is ambitious, with plans to migrate over $10 billion in mortgage records onto the Injective blockchain by migrating its entire portfolio of 29,000+ mortgages. The company also holds a separate $100 million Injective token treasury, managed by Kraken as a primary validator for staked holdings.
The migration program is designed to make verification and risk analysis easier, with the on-chain records sitting on top of the original loans that retain their existing legal structure. The blockchain layer enables institutional buyers to access anonymized loan-level analytics through a permissioned Mortgage Data Marketplace and allows investors to access mortgage-backed yield opportunities on-chain through Pineapple Prime.
