$10 Trillion in Assets Commit to Cari Network Blockchain Infrastructure
The Cari Network has secured commitments from over 30 US banks, representing more than $10 trillion in assets. This milestone marks one of the largest coordinated pushes by traditional banks into blockchain-based infrastructure.
Design partner banks, including top-25 US banks like M&T Bank and Huntington, are integrating the network's services on Fireblocks infrastructure to transfer FDIC-eligible dollars in real time using a permissioned blockchain. A pilot launch is targeted for summer 2026, with full production expected by year-end.
The Cari Network allows chartered US banks to issue digital representations of customer deposits, called Cari tokens, which stay on the issuing bank's balance sheet and remain eligible for FDIC insurance. Unlike stablecoins issued by non-bank entities, these tokenized deposits don't create a new asset class floating outside the banking system.
