$100M Trump Crypto Buy Tied to British Money Laundering Suspect

Share

A British individual previously under investigation for suspected money laundering has been linked to buying $100 million worth of tokens from World Liberty Financial, a company tied to Donald Trump's family.

Guren Zhou, also known as Bobby, is behind the Aqua 1 entity that made the purchase in June 2025. The token buy financially benefited members of the US President's family and that of Zach Witkoff, co-founder of World Liberty Financial.

The source of the investment from Aqua 1 has raised questions about potential conflicts of interest in the Trump administration, with foreign actors tied to his family's crypto business.
