A $104 million lawsuit has been filed against Energy & Compute LLC, formerly Coinmint LLC, and its CEO Ashton Soniat in Puerto Rico's U.S. District Court.

Mintvest Capital Ltd., a minority owner of the bitcoin mining company, alleges that it was denied profit distributions and financial information, and that company assets and hundreds of Bitcoin were diverted as part of a broader fraudulent scheme.

The lawsuit claims that Mintvest has an 18.2% interest in Energy & Compute and estimates that the company generated $570 million in profits from August 2022 through January 2025, with Mintvest's share calculated at $103.7 million.
