$107 Million Income Reported by Trump Envoy's Holding Company
Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine and the Middle East, has reported $107 million in income from a holding company that owned his stake in World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture he helped launch. The disclosure was made by Bloomberg, citing a recent financial report. This comes as Senate Democrats have been pushing for conflict-of-interest rules to be included in the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act.
The holding company's income does not separately disclose how much of the $107 million came from World Liberty Financial LLC, which issues the USD1 stablecoin and sold the WLFI token. Income from the same entity was $34 million in 2024. The Trump family has been linked to World Liberty, with President Trump reporting $526 million from token sales and another $65 million from selling equity in the venture's holding company.
Senate Democrats have been critical of the arrangement, calling for a probe into UAE chip export decisions that coincided with a $2 billion Emirati investment in World Liberty. The company recently secured preliminary approval to operate as a bank.
