A coordinated attack on Coldcard-generated Bitcoin addresses has led to significant losses for users. The total amount drained is nearing $114 million, with Galaxy Research flagging approximately 449 BTC in the latest assault.

Coldcard maker Coinkite has issued a high-priority security alert, advising all users to migrate their Bitcoin holdings to newly generated addresses as soon as possible.

The exploit has shaken confidence in self-custody solutions, with Binance co-founder CZ calling for a more balanced approach to Bitcoin custody in the wake of the breach.
