$1.1M Rain Contract Hack Exposes Weakness in Crypto Card Solutions

A $1.1 million hack of Rain's outdated contract affected several programs on Solana, including Avici and Tria. The incident led to losses for users of these platforms, with Avici suffering the most.

Avici users lost around $500,800, causing a 49% drop in the AVICI token's value. Another crypto neobank, Tria, reported affected users and losses of over $430,000. The company promised to fully refund clients.

Rain stated that the vulnerability was discovered during monitoring and updated all programs on this version after the incident. However, other programs on Rain's infrastructure were also affected, with individual loss amounts undisclosed.
