Robert Kiyosaki, author of 'Rich Dad Poor Dad', is facing a $1.2 billion debt figure linked to his real-estate investments.

The New York Post reports that this amount does not represent money personally owed by Kiyosaki but rather a liability associated with a 1,500-apartment-unit portfolio he co-owns with his former wife and business partner, Kim Kiyosaki.

Vanity Fair estimated that Kiyosaki's share of the liabilities is between $30 million and $60 million.

Kiyosaki has long advocated for debt as a wealth-building tool when used to acquire income-generating assets. He can borrow against equity without selling underlying assets, allowing him to use borrowed funds for further investments or liquidity.

The self-proclaimed Bitcoin bull has repeatedly predicted ambitious price targets for the cryptocurrency, including $350,000 by August 25, 2024, and a broad target of between $175,000 and $350,000 for 2025. He even forecasted that Bitcoin could eventually surpass $1 million.
