Controversy has surrounded Robert Kiyosaki's financial dealings after he claimed to carry $1.2 billion in debt, sparking speculation about the use of Bitcoin as collateral.

However, according to a statement made through Bitget, the debt is actually tied to mortgage loans on apartment buildings, with Kiyosaki's company having exposure to around 1,500 apartments.

The loan, worth $1.2 billion, involves physical properties and rental income as collateral, not Bitcoin or gold holdings.

Kiyosaki's company filed for bankruptcy in 2012 after losing a lawsuit, but the current debt is reportedly shared with partners.
