$120.4M Cronos Exploit: Blockchain Reverses Nearly Two Hours of History
Cronos, a Layer 1 blockchain associated with Crypto.com, has reversed nearly two hours of its blockchain history after a $120.4 million Tectonic exploit on August 30.
The rollback restored balances tied to about $111.2 million of the incident's exposure, but $9.19 million remains unrecovered as it had left the network before validators stopped block production.
The exploit affected nine Tectonic lending markets and resulted in approximately $120.4 million being borrowed, with assets worth 7.6% of the total value still exposed to the incident.
