$1.4 Billion in Crypto: CNN Panel Laughs at Trump Sons' Business Dealings
A heated discussion on CNN's NewsNight panel turned into laughter and ridicule for a Trump-supporting guest, Jason Rantz. He attempted to defend the business dealings of President Trump's sons, Eric and Donald Jr., who have become involved in various sectors, including cryptocurrency.
According to filings, the Trump brothers netted $1.4 billion last year, with their portfolio consisting of a finance firm, World Liberty Financial, and drone company Unusual Machines. They also operate Trump Media and Technology Group, which includes Truth Social, where subscribers can pay up to $100,000 per month for early access to President Trump's posts.
Comedian Jon Stewart made light of the situation on Michelle Obama's podcast, describing their crypto ventures as 'a Michelle meme coin.' He jokingly suggested they could have profited even more by starting a weapons company or selling missiles to themselves. Panelist Bakari Sellers couldn't contain his laughter at Rantz's attempts to defend Trump's family business.
