$140 by Year-End: Can Solana Keep its Momentum Going?
Solana has been on fire this month, rallying by an impressive 40% and outperforming Ethereum in relative terms. The SOL/ETH ratio has surged over 7%, but a closer look at the quarterly picture reveals a different story. While Ethereum's 55% surge beats Solana's 40% jump, market analysts are still optimistic about Solana's prospects.
The setup doesn't appear fully bearish from a market perspective, with prediction markets pricing in over 50% probability for SOL to reach $140 by year-end. However, breaking above the $100 resistance zone will be crucial in making this target plausible.
Fortunately, Solana's on-chain data validates the bullish thesis. The network is processing an average of 2,100 transactions per second, up 3x higher than January's figure. Additionally, DEX activity is gaining momentum, with $3.15 billion worth of transactions settled on Solana's DEXs last Friday, representing over 40% of total DEX trading volume across blockchains.
The surge in ETF inflows also supports the bullish case, with Solana ETFs posting their best weekly inflows of 2026, totaling over $150 million. If this trend continues, it's likely that SOL/ETH will continue to climb during September, allowing Solana to overcome its performance gap with Ethereum.
