$1.6 Billion Cash Pool Set Aside by Strategy for Treasury Operations and Potential Bitcoin Investments
Strategy, the world's largest corporate buyer of Bitcoin, has set aside $1.6 billion in cash to fund treasury operations and potential investments in the cryptocurrency.
The company, led by Michael Saylor, disclosed the move in a regulatory filing on Monday. The new 'USD Cash' pool will be used for various corporate events, including share buybacks, and could provide flexibility to navigate market downturns.
The move comes after Bitcoin gained over 13% in the last five sessions following U.S. President Donald Trump's call for clear rules on digital assets. The cryptocurrency breached $70,000 last week for the first time since June.
