$163M Crypto Stash Collapses, ZeroStack Turns to Token Rewards for Survival
ZeroStack's $163 million crypto stash has drastically shrunk to just $15 million in value, forcing the company to rely heavily on token rewards for survival. According to its Form 10-Q filing, the company expects to fund operations mainly by selling staking rewards from its 0G token holdings.
The filing shows that ZeroStack held 75.1 million 0G tokens with a recorded cost of $163.33 million and fair value of $15.17 million as of June 30. The company also reported a net loss of $61.3 million for the first half of 2026.
ZeroStack's management noted that selling staking rewards is not a reliable mechanism, as rewards can decline or disappear and sales depend on token prices and market conditions.
