164 Servers Seized in Sabak Bernam Raid Over Alleged Bitcoin Mining Power Theft
Authorities in Sabak Bernam have cracked down on suspected illegal Bitcoin mining operations, seizing 164 servers from four premises. The raid was conducted by the Sabak Bernam District Council (MDSB) Enforcement Department and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) on August 7th, lasting from 5pm to midnight.
The operation involved 11 enforcement officers, nine TNB technical officers, and 15 technical personnel. The council said the premises were suspected of being used for illegal Bitcoin mining while also stealing electricity.
MDSB Deputy President led the operation as part of efforts to curb energy-related offences and unlicensed digital investment activities. The council has vowed to take stern action against those involved in such activities.
