$1B Stablecoin Inflow Fuels Short-Term Crypto Recovery
In August, $1B in stablecoins flowed into Binance, contributing to a short-term recovery in the crypto market. This influx of stablecoins lifted Bitcoin's price by around 22%, making it one of the best months for crypto in 2026 so far.
According to user @darkfrost, August's liquidity recovery was relatively small, with $1B being only a signal rather than a significant addition to Binance's liquidity. This is especially notable since around $5.1B in stablecoins has left Binance since the beginning of 2026.
The recent inflows have not yet compensated for the general loss of liquidity on Binance, and analysts note that the major effect on the market is linked to real demand from traders and a readiness to buy the dip. Stablecoins are gaining more mainstream acceptance, but Binance still carries 71% of stablecoin flows.
Despite this, there are signs that the trend of outflows may be reversing. Analyst Axel Adler Jr. notes that exchanges see neutral stablecoin flows, with stablecoin flows being slightly positive for the first time since May over the past 30 days.
