$219k to $60k: Investor's Bet on MSTR Takes a Big Hit, but Bitcoin Bull Michael Saylor Isn't Convinced
An investor named Rob revealed during a Q&A session with Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ:MSTR) shareholders that his stake in MSTR had lost significant value, going from $219,000 to $60,000.
This loss was attributed to the company's common stockholders being deemed the lowest priority. CEO Phong Le explained that MSTR is designed to provide amplified Bitcoin exposure, resulting in steeper losses during downturns but potentially higher returns during bull markets.
Bitcoin is down 40% from its all-time highs set in October 2025, while MSTR has plunged 79% from its record high in November 2024. Le reassured the investor to stay confident in the underlying asset, stating that when Bitcoin bounces back, MSTR will follow and rise over time.
Strategy Chair Michael Saylor also weighed in, saying that buying MSTR requires a time horizon of at least 4 years, with 7-10 years being ideal. He emphasized that investors should be prepared to ride through difficult years for the potential long-term benefits.
