$2.1M USDT Heist: Scammers Hijack Partner's Telegram Account
A crypto trader lost $2.1 million in USDT after scammers hijacked his business partner's Telegram account.
The victim first sent a $10 USDT test payment, which he received confirmation for from the compromised account.
He then transferred 2,151,772 USDT, with the attackers deleting the Telegram conversation and stopping responding the next morning.
Tether froze a wallet containing about $1 million on October 29, six days after the theft.
