21Shares has announced that its XRP ETF (TOXR) will switch to using the FTSE XRP Index as its pricing engine, effective August 27, 2026. This change affects not only TOXR but also six other U.S. single-asset ETFs in the 21Shares suite.

The decision was made to standardize the benchmarking across the company's European and Australian operations, which have already adopted FTSE Russell benchmarks for their core BTC, ETH, and SOL ETPs since March 2026.

FTSE Russell's CEO Fiona Bassett stated that this partnership is a testament to her firm's commitment to developing robust, rules-based benchmarks, particularly in the area of digital asset innovation.

Duncan Moir, President of 21Shares, emphasized the significance of using FTSE Russell indices globally, citing their institutional credibility and widespread adoption among financial institutions.
