$3 USDT Transfers Spark Freeze Concerns Amid HTX Scrutiny
Concerns over HTX-linked transfers have sparked worries about account freezes, even for seemingly insignificant deposits. On August 18th, recipients of the exchange platform reported receiving small transfers they never initiated, with on-chain data showing recurring Tether [$USDT] payments ranging between $3 and $10.
The similar amounts and closely grouped timing suggest a repeated transfer pattern, rather than typical exchange withdrawals. According to reports, several recipients faced account freezes soon after the deposits arrived.
HTX has denied initiating unexplained transfers, stating that none of their official platforms were responsible for the deposits. However, each deposit carrying the '$HTX' tag as an identifier raises questions about ownership and control.
